As a fisherman, I’m always excited at the
prospect of reviewing fishing cats. Spending a morning out in a bay or harbour somewhere, taking photo’s from a chase boat, experiencing the ride and checking out its features, may not always wind-up as a fishing trip. But I do get to breathe in the sea air, crash through the water and allow my fishing fantasies to wonder -albeit just for a couple of hours. In recent months, I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing a number of newly manufactured fishing cats, as well as an interesting, (and dare I understate) adventurous experience of thumping through hectic swell in a tiny, old cat out of Saldanha Bay.
